Custom-Made Alexia for Deutsche Bahn
A custom-made version of the Alexia shelter system was installed for Deutsche Bahn in Munich. Measuring 7 × 6 m, the facility provides 40 weather-protected bicycle parking spaces with the Easylift 500D two-tier bicycle rack. An Atlas Service Station is also integrated into the structure.
Both sides are clad with suspended satin-finished glass panels. A particularly notable structural feature is the clear span of almost seven metres without a central support.
The steel structure was galvanised and powder-coated in RAL 7016.
Planning and installation were carried out by Gronard.
