Recycling Enclosure on Sailerstraße
On Sailerstraße in Munich, the custom-made Alexia canopy system was installed as a recycling enclosure for 1,100-litre waste containers. The structure measures 7.48 × 2.76 × 2.50 m and is accessed through a custom-made double-leaf door.
An extensive green roof reduces the amount of additional sealed surface and helps the enclosure blend into its surroundings. The fascia in RAL 1036 Pearl Gold and the perforated sheet metal cladding give the functional structure a high-quality appearance.
This project demonstrates the versatility of the Alexia system. In addition to bicycle shelters, it can be individually designed and equipped for use as a carport, general-purpose shelter or recycling enclosure.
